We are looking to build a reliable network of skilled subcontractos to support our growing pipeline of solar PV, battery storage and electrical installations accross Devon and Cornwall.

Subcontract Installers – Work With Us

Cole Energy is a Plymouth-based renewable energy company delivering domestic solar PV and battery installations across Devon and Cornwall.

We are looking to build a reliable network of subcontract installers to support ongoing and upcoming work.

Work Available

  • Domestic solar PV installations (on-roof and in-roof systems)

  • Battery storage installations (primarily hybrid systems)

  • Occasional EV charger installations

  • Retrofit and new-build projects

  • Typical install duration: 1–3 days

Work is scheduled across Devon and Cornwall, with jobs grouped where possible to reduce travel.

Who We Are Looking For

We are interested in working with:

  • Qualified electricians

  • Solar PV installers

  • Roofers with solar experience

  • Labourers / mates with relevant site experience

Requirements

  • Previous experience in your trade (solar experience preferred where applicable)

  • Own tools and transport

  • Ability to work to a high standard

  • Reliable and able to attend site as agreed

  • Good communication on site

All work must be carried out in line with current regulations and industry standards, including MCS-aligned installations where required.

Rates and Payment

Rates are dependent on experience, qualifications, and scope of work.

  • Electricians: typically £250–£350 per day

  • Installers / roofers: typically £150–£220 per day

  • Team rates or per-job pricing can be agreed where appropriate

Travel and mileage may be considered depending on job location.

Payment terms will be agreed prior to works commencing.
